Have You Considered: The One Question I Ask My Clients The Most

Since I work with hundreds of women, I can tell you that a big part of my work is saying, “Have you considered this?“

For example, in a recent conversation with a client who wanted to make a switch towards more purposeful work, but wanted to make a higher salary, I asked, “Have you considered ownership?“

We were looking at the salary levels in her desired field, and they were low except at a few really blue chip places.

So I sent her off from our coaching session with an assignment: Think about ownership. To you.

I want you to look at what it would take in a step-by-step way to get yourself to one of those widget firms.

But what drives me—the reason I do this work is because so much more is possible for women, and I can see it.

The moment that lights me up is the moment a client sees an option she wouldn’t let herself see before.

She’s passed her imposter syndrome to an option she wouldn’t let herself see it before.

And the moment that lights me up after that? When she takes action towards that desire even if she doesn’t fully believe in its possibility yet.
